Why sojourner and keeper?
I am not the greatest at predicting the future, but I can imagine that you may be wondering why I named this site "Sojourner and Keeper." The answer is simple.
I created Sojourner and Keeper to have a place to flesh out all of the ideas that are constantly swimming around in my head. I believe in the importance of philosophical discourse and believe that big, life-saving, problem-solving, world-changing happenings begin with a community of people who talk about the good, bad, and ugly parts of humanity.
The Genesis: inviting a homeless family into our home
When people find out that we had a homeless family live with us for eight months, several questions usually arise. But the most common question asked is often along the lines of, “how did this all start?” And the answer to that is simple: It began with a Facebook post.
